From Music City to New York City.
I'm from a town about 30 miles north of Washington, D.C. called Olney, Maryland and it is still a place I like to call "home." I started singing and dancing at a young age, mainly because my older sister did too. We grew up in a family who loved playing games, traveling, watching movie musicals, going to concerts, and listening to everything from Glenn Miller to Chicago to James Taylor to Huey Lewis and the News.
I went on to study music at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated with a BM in Musical Theatre. Nashville is one of my favorite cities in the U.S. I try and go back to visit as much as I can- what a wonderful, innovative, warm, and creative place. If you are an artist and haven't been, I highly recommend you do. You'll be inspired.
In 2011, I joined the national tour of Beauty and the Beast as an ensemble member and that is where I met a handsome guy named Michael Haller, who played Lumiere. As it turns out, the candleabra and the dancing fork were a perfect match. We've been married since August 4, 2013.
Now, we are based in New York City and continue to pursue careers in the arts.
When I'm not working or auditioning, I can most likely be found eating frozen grapes, rooting for the Steelers, watching Friends, or on sporcle.com.
